CONGREGATIONAL MEETING - MAY 20TH
Mark your calendars and plan to attend our Spring Congregational meeting, on Sunday, May 20th following the worship service. We will elect new Council members and have a conversation about our vision for the future.
FLOWER CHART - MAY 20TH
Doris Fourhman will have the Flower Chart available at the Congregational Meeting for you to sign up to provide flowers on the Sunday of your choice.
SENIOR SINGLES - MAY 26TH
The SS will tour Pioneer Village & Ohop Indian Village, in Eatonville. The carpool will leave from church at 10am, cost is $6.00. After the tour they will stop for lunch.
QUEEN CITY JAZZ BAND - MAY 27TH
We are excited to have the Queen City Jazz Band, from Denver, CO, joining our worship service on Sunday, May 27th. They have been delighting audiences and congregations for over 50 years. Please plan to join us and invite your neighbors, family and friends for this special service!
VOLUNTEER TEA - MAY 30TH
In appreciation of your dedication and service, you are cordially invited to join Glendale Lutheran School as a Guest of Honor at their 2012 Volunteer Tea, on Wednesday, May 30th, at 9:00am, in the GLS Fellowship Hall (gym).

PICC 8TH ANNUAL LUNCHEON - MAY 18TH
You are invited to the Pediatric Interim Care Center's 8th Annual Luncheon, on Friday, May 18th at 11:30am at ShoWare Center, in Kent. The event will be hosted by actress & author, Jodie Sweetin, with the Keynote Speaker, Rob McKenna. We have reserved a table for 10, contact Allen Ohlsen or Helen Lodmill if you would like to attend. The event is free, but a free-will offering will be taken. Menu choices are Chicken Scaloppini or Spinach & Cheese Ravioli.
SENIOR SINGLES LUNCH - JUNE 5TH
The SS will meet at Round Table Pizza, in Burien, at 11:30am on Tuesday, June 5th. Everyone is welcome!
GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS - JUNE 10TH
If you or a family member is graduating from high school or college at this time, please notify the church office so that we may honor you/them at our worship service on Sunday, June 10th.
CLEANING OUT - JUNE 15TH
On Friday, June 15th, we will be cleaning out the classrooms, stage area and gym of all excess items. If you have any personal items stored in any of these areas that you would like to keep, please be sure to retrieve them or tell the church office, no later than June 14th.
LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF
Please remember to bring baby items for our Baby Care Kits. Items needed include: Cotton t-shirts, gowns or sleepers w/o feet, receiving blankets, cloth diapers (flat-fold) & diaper pins, outerwear w/hood or cap, socks, hand towels (dark colors), gentle bar soap (4-5 oz. in original wrapper). Items may be new or like-new. Please leave items on the table in the Narthex. Thank you.
90TH BIRTHDAY PARTY - JUNE 2ND
You are invited to the 90th Birthday Party of Glen Gabrielson, on Saturday, June 2nd from 3:00-6:00pm, at his home: 848 SW 174th St, Normandy Park. Please RSVP to Susan Bohm at (509) 332-9276. Potluck dinner at 4:30pm, please bring an item to share, (meatballs, chicken wings, cake, ice cream & punch will be provided).
GRADUATED TO HEAVEN
We received word that Loretta Sayre went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 7th. She was a long-time member of Glendale and active in the 3M's until she moved to Snohomish. She was 98. A memorial service will be held at Bonney-Watson in SeaTac, the date has not yet been announced.
CONDOLENCES
Our deepest condolences to the Wahlstrom family and Muriel for the passing of her sister, Mary Lou. Please remember the family in prayer during this time of loss.

BOYS & GIRL'S CHOIR AUDITIONS - JUNE 2
The NW Boychoir is holding auditions for boys ages K - 3rd grades and Vocalpoint! Seattle Girls Prep Choir is holding auditions for girls currently in 6th - 7th grades, both are for fall enrollment, on Saturday, June 2nd. Call (206) 524-3234 or www.nwchoirs.org to schedule an audition appointment.
